For those of you who are new to the Ellis life, here is the scoop. In January, Winston was playing with a piece of PVC pipe in the backyard. Yes, I let my boys play with pipes, sticks, shovels, etc... Winston took the pipe, hit it against the play fort and it shattered. Little known to any of us, a piece of the pipe punctured his cornea, iris and lens. He now has an artificial lens (I think he can see through walls!!) Today he is having yet another procedure! They are taking a laser and poking holes in his posterior membrane to let more light in. This is a photo of him waiting for his eye to dialate to head back for the procedure! First, we did hit Krispy Kreme out in Mesa, as my boy takes after his father and is a lover of ALL junk food.
