The Fiddler on the Roof

Orangewood Elementary has an amazing music teacher, Mr. Paulson.  Every year he puts on a musical... not just your run of the mill school play.  It is a huge under taking.  The students perform on stage at Washington Highschool.  There are two full casts of actors, amazing backdrops, props, costumes, etc.  This was Benjamin's second year.  Last year he was the lead, Charlie in Willy Wonka Jr.  This year he wanted a smaller part and was cast as a rabbi and a Russian soldier.
This was the last night of the production and Benjamin was pretty worn out.  Rabbi meets cell phone!
Quinn was also in the play and was cast as the Russian soldier who marries the youngest of the three daughters.  He did a great job.  Ryan was also in the play.

The cousins as soldiers.....
Here they are on stage singing their hearts out.  I always tear up during the performances!
Here they are backstage waiting to go on.  Benjamin and all his buddies....

Thanks to Orangewood,  Mr. Paulson and Coach Swartz for making this all happen.  I love our school!

A New Camera!

Jason gave me the best gift!  A new camera!! Here are the first photos I captured with it.  Winston loves spending time with Emolyn.  I put her to bed here the other night and she started off crying a bit.  Two minutes into her tears over being put to bed, Winston came out with tears in his eyes "Mom, I can't stand to hear her cry!"  What a sweet tenderhearted little guy I have!
Nora also adores Emolyn!
Benjamin loves Emolyn, but this is how I find him spending his days!!  He reads and reads and reads.  I am always up for suggestions of good books to point him towards!  He is in his school play this weekend The Fiddler on the Roof.  He plays the rabbi.  We are excited for another Orangewood production.

Look How Little They Are!

Here are my three kids!  How time has flown.  Benjamin is eleven, Winston is nine and Nora is seven!  It is hard to believe they were ever this small.

I can't find my camera!

I cannot find my camera!  I have been letting Nora use it.  That may be why it is misplaced.  Here are some cute photos from Shannon's Facebook.  I love this one of Nora and her great friend Megan.
Emolyn turned one on Sunday.  She is coming into my favorite age.  We love spending time with her.
Mordecai's language is exploding!  We love to hear him talk.  He says lots of super cute things.  One of my favorites is he says "Apple Jason and Apple Chuck."  Hopefully I will find my camera soon.

The Nutcracker

My mom took the middle boys to the Nutcracker.  We had so much fun.  Winston's favorite part was the mouse king.  I had not been in a long time and it was more amazing than ever!  Thanks mom for the special Christmas treat!
Wesley and Winston tried to wear the ties but they came off quickly!

Afterwards, we went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner.

Christmas

We had a great holiday!  It started off early spending one evening with the Bachali family laughing and playing Settler's of Catan.  Christmas Eve was celebrated with the HELL's (Hunter, Ellis, LaPlante, LaPlante) at my house.  We had a soup and salad bar, four different kinds of soup!  We all performed in our first annual Christmas talent show.  The kids all got new pjs from my mom.  Here is the annual picture.

Nora is looking so old!  I am waiting for the Christmas photos from Beckie as she took all the pictures on Christmas day.  I will post about our day when I have access to those photos.
